Take Heart, My Child, by Ainsley Earhart, is truly a mother’s love poem to her child. This is a picture book written in words a child can understand. My own heart almost broke as I read this beautiful story, and thought about my wish that I could have expressed this to my own daughter when she was still very young. Earhart tells her child of her dreams before the child was born — dreams of love and hopes for the child.
Take Heart, My Child is the type of self-esteem builder that every child needs to hear from parents. Earhart encourages children to be unafraid to follow their hearts, to be willing to try second chances, not to fear being different, in fact, to embrace it. Watch out — this one may win some awards in children’s literature.
A portion of profits from the sale of this beautiful little book will be donated to Folds of Honor, an organization that provides assistance and scholarships to children and spouses of fallen American soldiers. You can learn about this group at FoldsOfHonor.org.
