Children’s Books Are Delightful Gifts

I have fallen in love with children’s books all over again. They just keep getting better, then of course, there are the classics. With the holidays coming, I wanted to share with you some of the wonderful, heartwarming stories for children I have discovered. I have made the titles below into clickable links that will take you to my reviews of the books.
The Polar Express, is especially fun for Christmas, and anyone who believes (or wants to believe) in Santa.
Good Night Yoga, is a book I wish had been around when I was little, and when my daughter was little, too. It helps to relax and calm both children and parents when preparing kids for bedtime.
The joyful, high-spirited prose of Leaps and Bounce, will delight small children with a simple, yet fun biology lesson slipped in so carefully, they won’t know they are learning.

What Do You Do With An Idea? is one of the most impressive books for small children I have seen in a very long time. It encourages all of us not to fear taking our ideas seriously. This book should be required reading for every person everywhere.

The Ugly Pony is a modern retelling of The Ugly Duckling, and is an especially good book for middle school children about bullying.
