Tobacco Sun – Due Out June 13, 2017

Tobacco Sun, by Lorna Hollifield, was sent to me by Pen Name Publishing. It left me with both happiness and sadness for the characters. In the post-war years after World War II, Tobaccoville, North Carolina, like much of the rural United States, was a poverty-stricken area. Many found ways to leave to ensure a financially secure future. Many stayed.

Hollywood starlet, Sydra Parramore, was one who left. Her sister, Jimmi-Lyn, stayed. Shell-shocked Vanse Newland returned from the war to Tobaccoville. Tobacco Sun is a story of redemption, but life will never be the same for any of them. To read my review, click right here. If you enjoy Southern fiction,
