The Pirate Coast: I Found it When I Wasn’t Looking

IMG_4649I stumbled on The Pirate Coast: Thomas Jefferson, the First Marines, and the Secret Mission of 1805, published in 2005, when I was looking for the e-reader price for Kilmeade & Yaeger’s new book on the same topic to read for my book club’s next meeting. I had previously bought a hard copy edition of Kilmeade & Yaeger’s book at their book-signing for the history section of our small library, but I have gotten so accustomed to reading on my Nook, that I find it less comfortable to read a real book. Never thought that would happen!

I downloaded The Pirate Coast and read it immediately. The above photo of the book cover was taken from the screen of my Nook e-reader. If you love history and true adventure stories, you will love The Pirate Coast by Richard Zacks. Here’s the link to the page of my review of The Pirate Coast.
